REVIEW
So our protagonist here is Shiva, the Chief of a Tibetan tribe " the Gunas". As their tribe was always at war with the neighboring tribe "the Pakratis", Shiva finally decided to accept the invitation of the Suryavanshis of Meluha to move to the same. As soon as they arrived there, they were subjected to strict medical laws of hygiene and checked for any ailment. In the process, they are given The Somras- Drink of Gods, a type of medicine taken by the Meluhans to increase their life span. As soon as the Somras is gulped in by the Gunas, they fall ill and are succumbed to high fever. But Shiva didn't fall ill, but something happened which would change his life forever!! His throat turned blue!
The Meluhans were overjoyed, as the legend came to be true that the person whose throat will turn blue on drinking Somras will become their saviour, the destroyer of evil, the NEELKANTH. He fell in love with the daughter of the Suryavanshi emperor Daksh, the mighty Sati, the warrior. She was so beautiful yet brave that The Neelkanth couldn't help but fell for her.

Will Shiva be able to fulfill the necessities of the job he is entrusted upon? Will Sati being a warrior be able to support her beloved in this time of peril? Will he be able to destroy the evil? Will he actually be able to know what evil really is? Will he rise to become the Mahadev (God of Gods)?
MY VIEWS
This is the first book in the Shiva Trilogy. The perfect story where common man rise to the status of Gods solely by his Karma or deeds! Trust me when I was reading this, I was at peace. I felt serene as if I was meditating. I was just gliding through the pages but still didn't want it to end. It's so beautifully written. The character Shiva is so perfect in his imperfections. I am just speechless. This review is just a small contribution to the glory of the book, really! Please go and check it out. ( By the way I got a huge crush on Shiva! Just so that you know.)
