MID YEAR BOOK FREAK OUT TAG 2018
So I have been seeing this tag everywhere...like EVERYWHERE, on blogs, booktube.. So thought of trying it out myself!! For anyone who dosen't know in this post I would be answering to some questions. So let's begin!
1. BEST BOOK YOU HAVE READ SO FAR IN 2018?
The best book I have read so far this year has to be Pines by Blake Crouch. Did you read it? I even wrote a review on it. I mean how can someone write so well!! I was in stress throughout. I remember I finished it at about 3.00 in the morning and was sitting another half an hour blankly starring at the wall, thinking ruthlessly if everything mentioned in the book could be real, even if not in this world but at least in some parallel universe. AT LEAST!

2.BEST SEQUEL YOU HAVE READ SO FAR IN 2018?
Well!! OKAY confession time... I didn't finish any sequel this year. But yes! I started two!

Hehe!! Those were the Wayward Pines trilogy by Blake Crouch and The Sylvian Neuvel trilogy! Both were good and satisfying. Yeah even though the book of The Sylvian Neuvel trilogy Sleeping Giants was left in middle of something huge at the end. It agonized me enough!
3.NEW RELEASE YOU HAVEN'T READ YET, BUT WANT TO?
Umm!! New release that I haven't read yet but want to has to be the book- Children of Bone and Blood by Tomi Adeyemi! I guess it was released in March this year. It is a fantasy novel. Honestly that's all I wanna know. I would like to hit it head first without knowing anything. Yeah! I know. But still.
4. MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE FOR SECOND HALF OF 2018?
Most anticipated release has to be THE CRIMES OF GRINDLEWALD by J.K. Rowling!!! I mean I know it is the screenplay but still I would like to read it before I watch the movie. Have you seen the cover? Oh my god! It's gorgeous!! If you haven't I will put up a picture below. You out to see it my friend!!
5. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT?
Oh yes!! I have two actually!

The first one is The Girl of My Dreams by Durjoy Datta and This is not your Story by Savi Sharma. Oh my god! I was so disappointed! So much that I wanted to break a chair on someone. I was angry. Expected a whole lot better. You see I don't spend my money to get disappointed! But yes. Detailed review up soon.
6. BIGGEST SURPRISE?
My biggest surprise was THE IMMORTALS OF MELUHA by Amish Tripathi.

I generally don't read Indian Historical books. But this one! It was the greatest surprise. Honestly speaking, I felt at peace. It was like meditation. I already wrote a review on it. Go on and check it out. Yeah!!
7. FAVORITE NEW AUTHOR?
Favorite new author is Amish Tripathi. He is an author to six books now. His writing! Oh! It just enraptures you. It feels like meditating and at peace. Honestly, not one of us is at peace. So we like the bit of it whenever we are able to attain it!

8. NEWEST FICTIONAL CRUSH?
Okay! So this is going to be real fun. As it's not just one, there are two of them actually! Trust me I tried my best to choose one, but they are both so good that I had to mention both of them. So one is the protagonist of THE IMMORTALS OF MELUHA by Amish Tripathi. His name is Shiva.

He is so damn cute! Okay jokes apart, he is so serene and calming yet naughty.
Whereas the other one is the character from the Sleeping Giants by Sylvian Neuvel. His name is not mentioned all throughout the book!!

Yes, so what?! Love dosen't need name. He was so manipulative, authoritative, formal yet caring. I loved both of them. Different personalities but yet ' Dil toh Pagal Hai' ( The heart is mad literally).
9. NEWEST FAVORITE CHARACTER?
Newest favorite character has to be Shiva from The Immortals Of Meluha. He has this calming and peaceful effect on me which I absolutely love!
10. BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY?
You will not believe this! But I cried after reading Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James. Yes! Don't get me wrong please. But when Anna was leaving Christian even though she was so much in love with him, Broke my heart. I am not that emotional as you may think that now, but somehow it triggered something in me and the next thing I knew, tear drops were oozing out of my eyes!! So yeah..

11. BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAPPY?
There is this book dark Matter by Blake Crouch which made me happy and satisfied as well! No doubt I was in stress throughout, but I loved it! And the all time book which makes me happy is the HARRY POTTER series by J.K. Rowling. it's beyond compare. Anything from the wizarding world of Harry Potter makes my day!

12. FAVORITE BOOK TO MOVIE ADAPTATION YOU SAW THIS YEAR?
I didn't watch any book to movie adaptation this year. So can't say.
13. FAVORITE REVIEW YOU'VE WRITTEN THIS YEAR?
It was not a review actually. It was a blog post I wrote- 10 THINGS EVERY BOOK LOVER WILL RELATE TO. I loved writing it. I really enjoyed myself while writing it. I hope you guys enjoyed it too!!
14. MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK YOU BOUGHT SO FAR THIS YEAR?
Most beautiful book- do you mean the cover by that? If yes, then it's the SLEEPING GIANTS by Sylvian Neuvel. The cover looks gorgeous. It's a person's face adorned with stars. For your information I have always found stars fascinating. This explains my love for the cover I guess!
15. WHAT BOOKS DO YOU NEED TO READ BY THE END OF 2018?
Oh! I need to read the book Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. It's always on my TBR list but never actually comes up when I am actually reading. So need to finish that!
That's it guys! It was my MID YEAR BOOK FREAK OUT. hope you enjoy it. Let me know your current reads and also your views. Do you have any suggestions for me? If you want me to read something do let me know. See you in my next post. Until then lots of love and TURN SOME PAGES. Bye.
